Tootin' and Smilin'

So everything is going great with Lydia... she is having trouble breastfeeding on my left side but I'm trying to not get frusterated and trying new things each time... on the right shes perfectly fine which is really annoying because now my left breast is a ton harder than my right (probably too much info but sorry!) I have done every bit of advice listed in my book and online.. changing positions... sliding her from the same position she is in on my right side and using that on my left... letting her eat from that one first because she will be hungry but nothing works... she latchs on and does about 3 sucks and then unlatches... I then have to relatch her and she sucks about 3 times and stops... this takes forever and is really frusterating... I don't know what I'm going to do next :-( But anyway when I'm burping her she tends to get the toots too and when shes tootin' she smiles and I think its soooo funny Tyler and I will just sit and laugh and laugh so I thought I would add a picture of her smilin and tootin hehe

Here is the picture they took in the hospital the day after Lydia was born and I think its soooooooooooooo cute!!! They charge sooooo much for the pictures though! Its almost a scam so we are paying $60 for a cd of the picture (which yes I admit I tech stole it as of now off their site) but in order for us to print pictures that have good resolution I have to buy their stupid cd... but its going to be MUCH cheaper than if we just bought a package of pictures which was going to be well over $100! I might be a little bias but I think she is the most beautiful baby in the world hehe even though she wouldn't wake up for the picture

Lydia's here

right after her first bath... she didn't like the flash of the camera (notice the pink bow!)

Lydia Marie Bunce was born on 1/24/09 at 11:39PM and weighted 8lbs 8oz 21.5 inches long and looks JUST like her daddy! She has been a very happy baby all day today and has only cried when we have changed her diaper because she doesn't like the cold wipes. She lached and wanted to nurse right away and have had no problems so far. Labor and Delivery went great! My contractions started to get strong at about 11 am and we got to the hospital at about 1 pm... after about 3 hours I had stopped dilating and I was in HORRIBLE pain and she was twisted and I couldn't relax enough to have her drop normally so in order to prevent a c-section I got a shot of morphine which worked wonders... I could still feel my contractions but they weren't bad and I went from a 5 to 7 in about 20 min.. at that point I got an epidural which was WONDERFUL!!! My doctor is a fan of "relaxation decending" which I guess is a lot less stressful on the baby and mom and allows for much less pushing... So I just got to relax and sleep as she dropped down more and more... at 10 cm my doctor showed up and felt and she was twisted sideways facing my hip and he said he would rather use forcepts than a c-section which I totally agreed because she was already right there... he then broke my water (probably TMI but it was bulging out of me at this point) with the forcepts and then about 5 min later she was born... she had passed a bowl movement which she had swollowed some and they had to get that out but after that everything has been great!!
