I haven't updated in forever!! Will EDIT pictures so they fit later!! sorry I hate blogspot!!

Lydia is now over 4 months old! I can't believe it!! 4 months while I was pregnant seemed like YEARS and now 4 months has felt like 4 days!! She can now roll over both ways (started belly to back at 10 weeks 1 day, back to belly 1 day before she turned 4 months old), She has been swimming 2 times and even dunked underwater, been on her first airplane ride and out of state, and LOVES talking! Today was the first day she freaked out when she figured out someone else was holding her that wasn't Mommy or Daddy... The Grad Student who is in charge of my internship with Flourishing Families took Lydia around the corner and she started screaming and was like jumping out of her arms towards me. As much as it was breaking my heart that she was screaming it made me feel good that she actually knows who I am and misses me!!!

I will show you guys a few new pictures of her...

I love this picture I think she is sooo beautiful
ACHOOOO the picture had priceless timing
Lydia and I
Lydia helping me study

I can't believe it!!! This month was filled with mixed emotions and opposite feelings...This month has gone by soooo fast and yet sooo slow at the same time. This has been the hardest, most painful, and tiring month of my life yet it was the most beautiful, rewarding, and wonderful all at the same time! I have never gotten so little sleep and yet been so attentive of every movement and sound around me... Going to school was the worst yet best idea in the way that I am HATING it my classes suck compared to last semester (Last semester were mostly my major classes which I love and this semester I'm trying to finish up my GEs and I hate the classes) GEs give so much stupid busy work homework and I have no time to do homework and when I do I just want to relax and sleep or spend time with my husband and therefore it was the WORST idea to take classes this semester... yet it was the BEST idea (not mine Tylers) because I KNOW with all this stress of the baby, if I would have taken off this semester that would have been the end of my college education I know I wouldn't have gone back... Well I have to wrap this up because Tyler wants to go to sleep and so do I while Lydia is asleep!!

Our Sick Little Baby

So I have just had this feeling something has been wrong with Lydia... I have been around babies before and she just doesn't act normal.. She hasn't slept a night in her crib or bassinet and has only taken maybe two 20 min naps in her crib... Even in the hospital she would scream at the top of her lungs if she was laying down on her back and I never understood why.. I made sure that she was burpt and had a dry diaper and it never failed... I would try to put her in her crib sound asleep and she would then wake up 2 min later screaming and as soon as you pick her up she would stop.. Some people were telling me to just let her cry it out in her crib and I would let her cry for a while and her screaming would just get worse and worse and I couldn't take it anymore... it wasn't a cry of I'm tired and want to snuggle it was a I'm in sever pain please do something cry... She would then get hoarse when crying She also has had trouble breastfeeding (As I have posted before) She would latch on and feed and then pull away often and then cry and arch her back and also when feeding she would gag and choke (I just thought she was eating too fast) Her 2 week doctor visit she wasn't back up to her birth weight which caused a problem so we had to go back in a week later and she was 1 oz over her birth weight at 3 weeks... I knew right then something just wasn't right.. over the past 2 weeks she has started to vomit as well.. not spit up but actually vomit... Today while tyler was in church she vomited (like projectile) about 5 times within the 3 hours... That was when I decided we need to see a pedi today.. luckily our pediatrics office has a doctor avaliable 24/7 even on holidays and weekends and so we went into the doctor today and found out she has baby reflux which is basically acid reflux in infants and it causes ALL of these problems she has been having... I mean ALL of them like her problems were to a T what is caused by baby reflux... so now we have to have her on a liquid form of Zantac which we have to give her 2 times a day.. we are going to watch her for a week or two and see if the symptoms go away.. the fusiness and such not really the spitting up and vomitting because that will continue... and she will stay on this medicine for 3 months... then after the 3 months the doctor will take her off and see if she acts like she does now.. if she still does he will put her back on it for 3 months if not she will be done and she out grew it.. and this will continue until she outgrows it if she ever does... Tyler has REALLY bad acid reflux so it looks like I'm the only lucky one in our family (though I had horrible heartburn while pregnant and I feel so sad she has to feel that everyday!) Hopefully this medicine will make her better so keep her (and my sanity and lack of sleep due to this) in your prayers!!

Blogspot makes me angry

I hate how this site puts huge spaces in between pictures and then when you delete the spaces it puts a HUGE gap at the bottom of the page.. oh and also how they put the pictures in reverse order... gahh

Our Family Visits Utah

Happy Valentines Day I haven't updated in forever! Well our families came out to Utah to visit us and Lydia... My Dad, Breanne, Brice, my Mother, and Ty's mom.. it was really nice having them out here and really nice to see them because we haven't seen them since August! While they were here we were able to take them to the Draper Temple open house... not too sure if they all enjoyed it but Tyler and I did haha Here are pictures of the flowers Tyler got me for Valentines day... he got Lydia a balloon with hearts on it she likes to look at it hahaha... While I was uploading these pictures I realized we have like no pictures of Lydia and I because I'm the one taking the pictures.. we need to change that!

Tootin' and Smilin'

So everything is going great with Lydia... she is having trouble breastfeeding on my left side but I'm trying to not get frusterated and trying new things each time... on the right shes perfectly fine which is really annoying because now my left breast is a ton harder than my right (probably too much info but sorry!) I have done every bit of advice listed in my book and online.. changing positions... sliding her from the same position she is in on my right side and using that on my left... letting her eat from that one first because she will be hungry but nothing works... she latchs on and does about 3 sucks and then unlatches... I then have to relatch her and she sucks about 3 times and stops... this takes forever and is really frusterating... I don't know what I'm going to do next :-( But anyway when I'm burping her she tends to get the toots too and when shes tootin' she smiles and I think its soooo funny Tyler and I will just sit and laugh and laugh so I thought I would add a picture of her smilin and tootin hehe
